Keeping the Guts Dry (The IP55 Stuff)
Bathrooms are brutal on electronics. You’ve got steam everywhere and the occasional accidental splash. That’s why we use an IP55 rating. In plain English? It means the internals are sealed tight against dust and water sprays. Without that seal, the high-voltage parts would basically commit suicide within a few months. We wrap everything in quartz glass to keep the heat intense but the electricity safely tucked away from the humidity.
The War on Mold
Mold loves those damp, dark corners where water just sits there. To stop it, we don’t just blow hot air around. We use something called short-wave infrared. Here’s the trick: this specific kind of heat actually penetrates the surface of your walls and ceiling. It warms the material itself, which forces moisture to evaporate way faster than a normal heater ever could. When you flip the switch, you’re basically creating a “dry zone” in your ceiling. A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Now, these lamps are powerful. Like, really powerful. Because they provide such direct heat, the lamp surface gets hot enough to burn you if you touch it. Make sure you mount them high enough that nobody’s going to accidentally bump into them. And one more thing: while they handle steam like a pro, they aren’t waterproof submarines. If you install them too low in a splash zone, you’ll probably kill the seal prematurely. Keep them up high, and they’ll take care of the rest.
