What matters under the hood We match the OEM heating tunnel geometry and run quartz or halogen infrared emitters tuned for PET. Power density is set to heat fast without scorching the surface, and the reflector geometry keeps the energy focused. The heater body uses standard mounting points and R7s connectors, so you can swap a unit in minutes instead of hours. Each element is rated for stable output over thousands of hours, and the thermal response is fast enough to keep pace when you push cycle speed. Here’s why this matters in stretch blow molding: the preform has to land in a tight temperature window before it stretches. If the heater underperforms, you get weak biaxial orientation and inconsistent bottle strength. If it overperforms, you get crystallization and haze. Our heaters give you tighter control over that zone, so you see fewer rejects, less rework, and more consistent bottle weight at the same cycle rate. Energy use drops because the heat is targeted—less wasted heat in the tunnel, less heat bleeding into the machine frame. A few practical notes. Infrared heaters are sensitive to reflector cleanliness and alignment. Dust buildup and lamps that aren’t seated right will change output fast. Plan replacements around your preventive maintenance window, and keep spare lamps and reflectors on hand.
